Mono Threads Hobart

Monothreads (PDO Threads)

Monothreads are small filaments made from PDO (Polydioxanone), the same material used in internal stitches. These fine threads are inserted into the superficial layers of the skin using a small cannula needle, creating a mesh-like support scaffold in areas where the skin has lost elasticity, resulting in lines and wrinkles.

Over time, the PDO threads gradually break down, triggering the body’s natural healing response. This stimulates the production of collagen and new fibrous tissue, which gradually restores skin structure and smoothness over a period of 12 weeks, leaving the skin looking firmer and more supported.

Treatment Details:

  • Duration: Approximately 60 minutes, including numbing time.
  • Downtime: Bruising is to be expected, so we recommend planning for 5-10 days of recovery time.
  • Treatment Areas: Monothreads can be used on the mid and lower face, perioral area, under-eyes, jawline, chin, neck, hands, and stomach.
