Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) for skin rejuvenation

What is PRP?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for skin rejuvenation is an advanced treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and promote overall skin renewal. By harnessing the natural healing properties of platelets, PRP helps rejuvenate the skin from within, resulting in a more youthful, radiant complexion.

At our clinic, we use Alocuro’s advanced high-dose PRP, which contains a significantly higher platelet count compared to standard PRP, making it even more effective at stimulating collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration. This elevated platelet concentration enhances the treatment’s ability to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.

Treatment Areas and Benefits:

  • Facial Rejuvenation:
PRP therapy is applied to the face to stimulate collagen production, smooth fine lines, and enhance skin texture. It’s typically administered after microneedling or injected directly into specific areas such as fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars for maximum results.
  • Under-Eye Treatment:
PRP injections are especially beneficial for treating dark circles and fine lines around the eyes. The high platelet count in Alocuro’s PRP helps improve the thickness and elasticity of the delicate skin under the eyes, leading to a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance.
  • Neck and Décolletage:
This treatment can also be applied to the neck and décolletage to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and enhance overall skin quality. It’s particularly beneficial for those experiencing early signs of ageing in these areas.
  • Acne Scarring:
PRP therapy can significantly improve the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen production and promoting tissue regeneration. Combining PRP with microneedling can maximise the benefits, resulting in smoother, more even skin.
  • Sun-Damaged Skin:
For sunspots or uneven pigmentation caused by sun exposure, PRP helps repair sun-damaged skin by promoting the regeneration of healthy skin cells and reducing fine lines, sunspots, and pigmentation issues.

Treatment Experience:

PRP therapy is generally well-tolerated with minimal downtime. Some temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites may occur, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days. The treatment is safe, natural, and non-invasive, with results improving progressively over time.

Results & Maintenance:

While PRP therapy can provide noticeable improvements in skin texture and appearance, results will vary depending on factors such as skin condition, age, and overall health. To achieve optimal results, multiple sessions may be recommended, with maintenance treatments as needed to sustain the benefits of PRP therapy over time.

To determine whether PRP therapy is the right option for your skin concerns and to develop a personalised treatment plan, we recommend a consultation with one of our qualified healthcare providers.

Individuals will be given specific aftercare depending on the skin peels used.

Some mild to moderate peeling can occur for up to 7 days post peel along with some darkening of pigmentation already present in the skin. In some rare instances crusting or weeping may occur, usually, on the chin or areas of bad sun damage, these are effects of treatment not side effects. A series of treatments may be required and can be done at 4-week intervals for best results.

WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO HAVE PRP TREATMENTS?

The first step would be for you to contact us at Aesthetic Laser Centre and book in a free no obligated consult with a hair consultant. During this time, we will explain how PRP is used in conjunction with the Natural Hair Regrowth Program to kickstart hair growth in stubborn areas i.e. temples or crown, or for overall rejuvenation. This will give you the best chance of fighting hair loss.
