Cryolipolysis Fat Reduction
What is Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is proven to be an advanced non-invasive way that uses fat freezing technology to significantly eliminate fat cells without surgery.
Am I a good Candidate for Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is applicable to anyone who is suffering from noticeable bulges and fat problems. Depending on health history, this treatment may not be suitable for you or may take more treatments on mild setting to achieve results. Cryolipolysis is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese or a substitute for surgical methods such as liposuction.
How long is each treatment?
Depending on your treatment area and personalised treatment plan, one treatment may last for one or two hours.
Is Cryolipolysis safe? Are there side effects?
It is proven to be a safe and effective way to decrease the size of love handles and abdominal fat. Side effects can include redness, swelling, tenderness to the touch, cramping, itching and numbness.
How much does Cryolipolysis cost? How many treatments will I need?
Cost per treatment depends on the area that is of concern. The number of treatments required per area will depend on the amount of fat present and may vary depending on your bodies ability to destroy frozen fat cells. Your therapist will design an appropriate treatment plan with you and give you an estimated cost. Typically, clients will see a noticeable reduction of fat or change of shape in the treated area after one visit.
What does it feel like?
At the beginning, you will feel pressure and intense cold. It soon disappears in a few minutes. You can read, or even take a nap during the treatment. During the treatment, patients may experience temporary pain or discomfort.
What happens during the treatment?
Once treatment area is selected, photos and measurements will be taken. (Photos are stored on your confidential final, accessible to only the staff at The Aesthetic Laser Centre, these will not be used for marketing or shown to anyone else. It helps us track your progress and show you your results). A gel-covered cloth is then placed on the area. This is to protect your skin from getting any cold burns. The therapist will select the settings appropriate for your treatment. The device/s are then applied to the treatment area and turned on. You will experience a strong pulling sensation which is the device sucking the fat pad into its cooling chamber. You will then feel cold and sometimes discomfort on the skin that is inside the device. This discomfort usually last for up to 8mins then will usually subside. You can then sit back relax, read a book or have a nap will your fat freezes. Once the freezing is over, the suction will release, and your therapist will massage the treatment area for 10mins to bring blood flow back to the skin. This can be a bit uncomfortable as it can feel like a burning sensation and your skin warms. Then you will have some time to clean your self up, get dressed and be ready to go.
Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?
Yes, of course! It is a non-surgical treatment. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Exercise is encouraged to get best results as you want your body to target that frozen area.
When will I see results?
The client will typically see a change within 3 weeks post-treatment and up to 6 months after.
Do I need to take special supplements or follow a strict diet and exercise program?
Not strictly. However, you will get better and faster results with a healthy diet and moderate exercise. It is recommended to not eat anything for 2 hours post-treatment. Clients often feel very hungry after their sessions. Drink a minimum of 2Lt a day of water for the following weeks post-treatment.
Diet recommendations: Low intake of starchy, processed carbohydrates (White bread, pasta, rice). Increase in healthy carbs (sweet potato, green leafy vegetables). Healthy fats (Fish, nuts, avocado). High protein (Chicken, meats, tofu, nuts)
Stay away from your lollies, chocolates, soft drinks and chips. These cause havoc in your body and are the main cause of tummy fat.
Are the results permanent?
Your fat cells will be eliminated after finishing your treatments with Cyolipolysis. If you maintain a healthy diet and exercise, the result should be permanent. If you eat poorly and don’t exercise, your body can build new fat cells to store excess energy.
What will my results be?
Typically, each Coolplas treatment results in a noticeable reduction of fat in the treated area. After the initial treatment is complete, you can attain further reductions with additional treatments, resulting in an even more fat loss. Some patients find that just one treatment fully addresses their goals. You and your therapist will discuss and design a plan that suits you best.
If you are happy to let us use your progress images for marketing (we always hide your identity) please let your therapist know. We love to show other clients our own success stories!
How many sessions will I need and how often?
Recommended amounts of treatments will depend on the amount of fat present. However, most clients will be recommended a minimum of 3 treatment per area. 6 weeks between treatments are needed in the same area. If treating a different area, 4 weeks between is adequate. Most clients will treat one area till they are happy then move onto another area.
