Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic Therapy

Acne affects many of us and can be a very socially debilitating skin condition.  There are so many products on the market that claim to treat acne, choices can be very confusing when unsure of who or what information to believe.

If you have been through the distress and embarrassment of having acne and tried many treatments to resolve it then you will be happy to hear it is not surprising that many treatments are not successful because they are not treating the underlying causes.

The Aesthetic Centre has over 27 years of experience in treating acne with scientifically researched skin care products and medically advanced treatments to combat and break the acne cycle.  Our acne program is individualised to treat everything from active acne to acne scarring.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

PDT LED stands for light emitting diode – a light source that emits energy across the spectrum at different wavelengths (colours), and penetrates through different layers of your skin. It is pain-free and non-invasive, but it is recommended to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight immediately afterwards while the cells are still sensitive.
